Not a bad price, but also definitely NOT an ‘87. That’s an ‘80-’86. My first car was an ‘87 flareside 4x4 300 I6/4 speed. The 300 is slow, thirsty and no more reliable than a 302/351. I never understood why people love them so much.

I drove my grandfather’s 86 for a couple years in high school (14 years ago) and it was invincible. Easily NP for a truck that will last. And that I6 is a great engine.
